president from 1988 to 1992, he acquired full ownership of
IWS, Inc. in the fall of 1992. Don brought previous
construction experience with him to IWS, Inc. after working in
the T&M Contracts Division at Fermi National Accelerator

After starting out as essentially the part time secretary while in
college, Peter now oversees the daily operations of the office.
Peter is also responsible for the majority of the in house
estimating and bookkeeping operations. Peter brought his
previous Customer Service experience and his BA in Finance
from Northern Illinois University with him to IWS, Inc. Peter

General Manager
Coming in basically right out of high school, Scott quickly
gained exceptional talent as a pointer, caulker cleaner
apprentice. Scott became a journeyman in 1996 and led the
field crew as one of the lead foremen until 2002. At this time,
Scott was brought into a more managerial role as our Field
Superintendent. He is currently responsible for the scheduling
and day to day operations of the field personnel. Scott also
handles the majority of the field estimating. Scott can be

Field Superintendent
Our tradesmen are all skilled union craftsmen. The majority of our field crew are
signed with BAC Local 56 in northern DuPage County. We, however, are also
signatory with Tuckpointers Local 52 in Chicago, Bricklayers Local 27 of DeKalb,
Kane, Kendall, and McHenry Counties, BAC Local 74 in southern DuPage , Will and
Grundy Counties, and Laborers Local 6 in Chicago. The number of tradesmen
employed by IWS, Inc. fluctuates throughout the course of the year from a winter low
of 4 to a summer high of 15. Our 4 key employees have been with us an average of 9
years and have an average of 12 years of experience.
